So, I know what you’re thinking… who’s this girl? Why’s she writing a blog? Or, perhaps, I know this girl! Either way, here’s the low down on me.
I’m Jessica. But, no one calls me that. So, I’m better known as JP. Only my family calls me Jess these days. I don’t really care what you call me as long as it’s not Jessi. Only one person can call me that and she should know who she is. Enough about my name!
26 27 28 29(I think, sometimes I forget). I live in Wyoming, MI, which is near Grand Rapids. But, I grew up in Madison Heights, MI, near Detroit. So, I’m a Detroit girl at heart which somewhat explains my attitude. 😉
I have a 2year old daughter named Kylee. She has her own little section on the site because there’s a lot to her and this page is about me (for once lol). I also have a 1 yr old. Charlee Jessica was born on 4/2/14 and also has her own page here.
I have a wonderous husband whose name is Eric. He’s pretty much the best husband in the whole world. And I can say that because I believe it. And what I believe is true (obviously). We have been married for two years (February 1st!). Yep, do the math, it happened, we’re not ashamed.
My husband and I are both chefs! He graduated from culinary school in 2010. I graduated.. no, no I didn’t. I had a baby. But, I went to culinary school and took lots of expensive classes. He is now a part time sous chef at a local retirement community (not retirement home, they are different- food wise). I am a kitchen manager at a local restaurant that shall be left unnamed until I know I can mention it. Now, I know there are different definitions of the word chef. Some would say, as a line cook/kitchen manager, that I am NOT a chef. That’s fine. But, I do cook A LOT. I’m an all day cook. I don’t just go to work and cook there. I come home and I cook. I wake up, and I cook. I watch my daughters WHILE I COOK. And, let’s be honest, Cooks with Babies sounds a little weird and not as good as Chefs with Babies. So, leave me alone about the minor details. Thanks. 🙂
A little more about me and my personality. I’m very sarcastic but I like to think I’m funny, if you don’t, that’s fine. I also misuse commas, oops. I like to voice my opinion often and sometimes without a filter so if you’re offended by what I say, I’m really sorry, but I’ll probably do it again… twice. I’m a loving, caring, passionate person. And a pisces! So, look that up, the information on pisces is pretty accurate.

I graduated from Central Michigan University in 2008 with a degree in journalism and a minor in media design, production, and technology. I own a very expensive piece of paper at the moment. My grammar is terrible, so much for that degree eh? I played volleyball in high school. I miss it. My favorite color is pink. I’m obsessed with the Food Network and the Cooking Channel. I’m also obsessed with Top Chef. Food is my passion. Our second baby was planned, yes, we’re crazy. I have a brother who is 2 years younger than me. He’s awesome. My parents have been divorced since I was seven. I grew up seeing my dad every other weekend and Wednesdays. Those wednesdays are a big reason I fell in love with food and restaurants. I have worked in the restaurant business since I was 14 years old. I like to write and I hope that others find what I have to share helpful and/or useful. Feel free to leave (nice) comments!
